Essential! CANTILO, MIGUEL/JORGE DURIETZ...Y OTROS - Blend of folk, rock and prog. ESPIRITU - Prog/symphonic ETERNIDAD - 70’s progressive rarity with folk influences FRAKTAL - Similar to Porcupine Tree and Anekdoten. Excellent! Nice prog MESTRE, NITO - Ex- Sui Generis pastoral prog with acoustic guitars & flute MUSICOS INDEPENDIENTES ASOCIADOS (MIA) - Italian inspired top Argentine 70’s prog. MONTES - Hard rock with some prog moves MONTESANO, GUSTAVO - Classic recording by Crucis keyboardist. NADA (& MIGUEL ABUELO) - Rare early seventies prog. Ranges from heavy to melodic with fine guitar work NARANJA MECANICA - Rare melodic prog from 1977 with great keyboard work NEBBIA, LITTO - Early albums are more folk mixed with prog & singer/songwriter and the later being song structured symphonic rock mixed with fusion. NEXUS - The best Argentinian band in the last decade. Brilliant symphonic w/female vocals ORION’S BEETHOVEN - Hard and heavy 70’s prog. PABLO “EL ENTERRADOR” - Killer highly emotional symph/prog with dual keys PASTORAL - Romantic progressive folk POLIFEMO - Wonderful heavy prog/rock with solid organ and guitar throughout PORCHETTO, RAUL - One of the most Important Argentinian musicians PRESAS, JULIO - Materia Gris guitarist. Like Oldfield & Camel. Excellent! RAYUELA - 1977 prog rarity with a fusion slant REDD LAND - Post Redd symphonic rock RELOJ, EL - Heavy prog RETSAM SURIV - Heavy progressive with stunning female vocalist. Reminds me quite a bit of some Ayreon’s biggest works ZERO2ZERO - Brings to mind Porcupine Tree and Pink Floyd. Nice debut! |
